Welcome to ENGLISH TEACHING PROGRAM IN SHENZHEN, CHINA
Spend a year teaching English conversation in a public school of Shenzhen, China’s economic miracle adjacent to Hong Kong. This vibrant city of ten million has a top-rated school system, modern housing, and a warm climate.
Learn Mandarin Chinese and gain a year’s experience in one of the world’s most important and most interesting cultures. This well-established, large program is supported by the Shenzhen government and is in its twelfth year. It is the only program of its kind in China.
August 2009 training at Beijing University for TEFL in China Certificate and in Mandarin Chinese language (4 levels; the beginning course requires no prior study of Chinese), includes housing and Beijing tours.
Participants have come from throughout the USA and from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. They are graduates of more than 180 colleges and universities, and range in age from early 20s to late 50s.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree by July 2009. The Chinese government limits this program to native speakers of English who are citizens of the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or New Zealand.
